Versie 26.04.1 van Linux-distributie Ubuntu is uitgekomen. Tweemaal per jaar verschijnt er een nieuwe versie en vormen het jaar en de maand van uitgave het versienummer. Deze versies worden negen maanden ondersteund. Eens in de twee jaar komt er een versie uit die niet negen maanden maar vijf jaar voorzien zal worden van updates. Versie 26.04, een versie die vijf jaar ondersteuning krijgt, heeft codenaam Resolute Raccoon meegekregen, draait op Linux Kernel 7.0 en gebruikt standaard Gnome 50 als de desktopomgeving. Maintenance updates will be provided for 5 years from the initial 26.04 LTSrelease for Ubuntu Desktop, Ubuntu Server, Ubuntu Cloud, and Ubuntu Core.All the remaining flavors will be supported for 3 years. Additional securitysupport is available with ESM (Expanded Security Maintenance).
