Software-update: OnlyOffice 9.3.0

OnlyOffice is een officepakket uit Latvia, ontwikkeld door Ascensio System. Het is beschikbaar in een opensource community edition en een gesloten versie voor bedrijven. Het kan in de cloud of op een eigen Linux- of Windowsserver worden gehost en er zijn ook downloads beschikbaar voor Windows, Linux, macOS, Android en iOS. Versie 9.3.0 is uitgekomen en hier zijn de volgende veranderingen en verbeteringen in aangebracht:

Extended signature options for PDF forms

In addition to the available image upload, which now includes the option to remove white backgrounds, users have access to expanded signing options designed for maximum convenience:

OnlyOffice Docs Enterprise users can now upload a signing certificate to the Admin Panel. This feature enables trusted digital signatures on submitted PDF forms, ensuring that important documents are protected from unauthorized access and modifications.

Working with PDFs is a daily reality for many professionals. In this release, we’ve focused heavily on making PDF management more flexible and secure. Editing password-protected files. Unlock and edit protected PDFs directly if you have the password.

For data analysts and spreadsheet power users, performance is key. We’ve optimized the OnlyOffice Spreadsheet Editor to handle data more quickly and accurately. First of all, speed improvements are immediately noticeable. The initial rendering of large spreadsheets – specifically those over 3 megabytes – has been accelerated, resulting in less waiting and more productivity when opening large files. New Solver tool. Solve linear problems using the Simplex method directly within your sheets.

Expanded formula library. We’ve added new functions for regular expressions – REGEXTEST, REGEXREPLACE, and REGEXEXTRACT – improving how you handle complex text data.

Dynamic array support. The introduced option allows formulas to return multiple results that automatically “spill” into neighboring cells. This supports modern spreadsheet practices.
