Autosport's team of expert journalists got together to try to assess who were the top 50 drivers of 2025. Here are the results.
Across his previous three years at Williams, Alex Albon had found points hard to come by, so his fifth-place finish at Melbourne demonstrated how far the team had come over the winter.
His early-season performances were strong, with points in seven of the opening eight rounds, before mid-term reliability issues rather brought that form to a halt.
Once the cooling problems had been ironed out, Albon picked up more points either side of the summer break, although he started to find life more difficult across the final flyaways. Qualifying form deserted him, compounded by team-mate Carlos Sainz finding great form…
