Deadline reports K-pop star Jeon Somi is set make her acting debut alongside previously announced cast members Arden Cho (KPop Demon Hunters) and Adeline Rudolph (Mortal Kombat II) in Perfect Girl, a horror-thriller described as”Scream meets Black Swan.” Naturally, the story concerns “a brand-new K-Pop super group preparing for their debut. With only four spots available in the band and the final cut a week away, the competition is off the charts. When a talented and mysterious new girl is introduced at the last minute, things start to get strange — girls are being hunted and attacked one by one, but who is responsible for the carnage, and more importantly…who will make the final cut?”
THR also reports that Curry Barker (Obsession) will direct, star, and co-write a new genre project titled Anything But Ghosts. Details on the plot are not available at this time.
Fangoria confirms that Sam Raimi is attached to produce a remake of 1978’s Magic from Freddy vs Jason screenwriters Mark Swift and Damian Shannon.
Deadline reports that The Fetus, an upcoming horror starring the Terrifier franchise’s Lauren LaVera, will be released direct-to-VOD on September 9.
