For the fourth consecutive season, Mitch Evans entered Formula E’s final round with a realistic title shot but came up just short.
A combination of car problems early on, including a software issue resulting in Misano retirement, restricted strong results and left him playing catch-up.
He won in Monaco after Jaguar’s strategic masterclass, while the Shanghai triumph improved his title hopes, but a harsh five-second penalty cost him another victory at Portland.
Three podiums in the final three races weren’t enough for his maiden title, but recently he began the new campaign with Sao Paulo glory from last on the grid.
