These New Alien Phone Cases Are Just Plain Gorgeous

I’m a person who craves variety, especially when it comes to my phone. I can’t commit to just one phone wallpaper. I need that thing to switch every hour. The same goes for cases. I can’t decide on just one case. It’s why I have a generic case. But there are a few times an exception can be made and this is one of those, well, cases.

The latest Alien film, Alien: Romulus, is out on Friday and with it has come all manner of awesome merch, from Facehugger masks to Reebok sneakers. io9 and Gizmodo, however, are excited to exclusively debut a new series of Alien phone cases from OtterBox which are super freaking slick. You’ve got your Xenomorph, you’ve got your Facehugger, and you’ve got Ripley ready to blast an alien into space. There’s a little something for everyone.

The cases are available in models that cover iPhone 15/14/13, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max as well as Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra. Retail is $59.95. Here they are.

I love the design of these because each is so evocative of this timeless franchise and you can pick and choose what you love most about the series. Is it the strong women who always play a role? Pick up Ripley. Is it the creepy crawly things that lay eggs in your chest? Facehugger is is. Or is it the titular character itself, a design that was and remains iconic? Snag a Xenomorph.

My personal favorite, though, is the Facehugger because a) it’s clear, and b) it’s got the computer text from the movie in it. A sweet little touch.

All the cases go on sale August 16 and you can check them out here. Which is your favorite?
