People often ask what the heck D23 is and the easiest way to describe it is a comic convention, but only for Disney. Every few years, the Walt Disney Company brings every nook and cranny of its properties together for a three-day celebration. Fans get news about all their favorite Disney franchises, interact with the people involved, and of course buy all kinds of awesome, exclusive Disney stuff. It’s not truly Disney without that merch.
Like San Diego Comic-Con, covering everything is impossible. But here at io9 we did our best to keep our eyes out and bring you just the biggest and best news over the course of the weekend. And, if you were blissfully offline all weekend, here’s a post where you can catch up on all of it.
