Pixar Is Making Incredibles 3

In a swathe of announcements out of Pixar at D23 tonight, out of left field the animation studio dropped a superpowered bombshell: Brad Bird is working on a new Incredibles movie.

On stage at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California tonight, Pixar’s Pete Docter confirmed that Bird, who directed both Incredibles movies, is currently in development on a third film in the franchise, following the heroics of the superpowered Parr family as they rejuvenate the world of superheroes.

Little else was confirmed about the film, outside of the above logo shared on social media, suggesting that it’s going to be a while before we see much of anything from the film. Pixar already has a lot on its plate, including Win or Lose, its first Disney+ original streaming series, its sci-fi adventure film Elio, out in June 2025, and Toy Story 5, due out in Summer 2026.
