It wasn’t that long ago that we’d learned a Moana 2 was coming out this year, and it’s not that far from hitting theaters. During tonight’s D23 panel, Disney brought a new trailer for the upcoming sequel in tow, and it looks every bit as grand an adventure as the original film.
Picking up a few years after the last film, Moana’s been tasked with exploring the far seas of Oceania to go up against underworld gods and stop them from putting the world (and her little sister) in peril. Apart from the new characters, the biggest change with the sequel will be the music: Lin-Manuel Miranda won’t be back to handle the soundtrack, and that duty is instead being handled by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear.
Moana 2 hits theaters on November 27.
