New House of the Dragon Featurette Is Here to Remind Us Who's Really in Charge

House of the Dragon season two is nearly upon us, and while it’s been a year and a half since the season one finale, fans will easily remember the key players from the Game of Thrones prequel: Rhaenyra Targaryen and her family, aka the Blacks, and Alicent Hightower, the newly crowned Aegon II, and their crew, aka the Greens. But what about the biggest stars of the Targaryen civil war, which is called the Dance of the Dragons for a reason?

Max is here with a helpful new video to remind you about all about the scaly, terrifying, sorta-tame-but-not-really dragons that have been a crucial element in House of the Dragon so far, and will only see their importance escalate as House Targaryen continues to splinter into a terrible war. While the video’s rounding up all the dragons, it’s also reminding us who rides them—or used to ride them, in the case of, say, Laenor Velaryon, who left Seasmoke riderless after faking his own death and fleeing Westeros.

And who could could forget Vhagar, the largest dragon of them all, and also the culprit who gobbled up Rhaenyra’s son Lucerys (and his dragon) at the end of season one? House of the Dragon’s players are definitely not going to let that one go.

Ahead of season two’s arrival, Max is rolling out a curated “World of Westeros” collection to help fans prep for all the fresh drama. Along with an array of trailers and behind-the-scenes content (“Inside Every Episode,” “Meet the Characters,” “Meet the World,” etc.), it gathers what the streamer deems to be Game of Thrones’ most important episodes:
